About Brad Roemer and His Team
Brad Roemer studied business administration at UC Davis. He had a penchant desire for tackling the management and operational side of business, however his deep-rooted love for real estate continued to expand as he earned a Certificate in Real Estate at Merritt College following his graduation at University of California, Davis. Prior to opening his own professional real estate agency, Roemer climbed up the corporate ladder until becoming a residential property manager at Bay Sotheby’s International Realty. There, he picked up many jewels of wisdom concerning the California real estate market, more specifically that of the San Francisco Bay area. After working for Bay Sotheby for five years, he decided to open up his own real estate agency named after himself as Brad Roemer Realtor. Roemer noticed a lack of realtors in the Oakland area, thus spurring his launch of Brad Roemer Realtor specifically targeting this exact location. When asked about his line of work by strangers, he likes to respond that he is a home matchmaker. His buzzing desire to fruitfully match his clients with the perfect home at the right price is what keeps him moving. He has won raging reviews for his home finds, topping the charts in Colliers International and Agent Awards.
Roemer’s team of expert real estateprofessionals include Layla Johnson (Manager), KassandraParker (Associate) and Tim Kane (Senior Associate). Their skilled team of four realtors ensures a customer-focused, personalized and detail-oriented service that cannot be replicated by larger firms. Roemer has trained each individual towork as a team by encouraging open communicationand unity from all realtors, for all clients. Therefore, when you sign your contract with Brad Roemer Realtor, you’re signing off on having anentire team work to find your dream home–not solely an individual real estate agent.
Additionally, when he’s not travelling around the world with his wife and kids, Roemer invests his time into his second company, Brad Roemer Interior Designs. His creative outlet is set free as hediscusses new home decor and interior design trends on his blog bradroemerblog.com. His take on interior design is fresh and unlike any other competitor since he often inhales inspiration from his various travels. For instance, a few of his new favorite home decor styles are using Portuguese tiles in the bathroom and kitchen (inspiration from his voyage to Lisbon last spring), as well as implementing earthy tones to the living space (influenced by his experiences in Costa Rica during his honeymoon). For fun, Roemer adores rallying backyard soccer tournaments with his kids, swimming in the pool on Sunday afternoons, and playing the guitar in his hometown of Berkeley, California.
A Few Words from Brad Roemer
When people first come up to me and inquire “Brad Roemer, what is it that you do in life?”, this is how I like to respond: “I’m a father, a son, a husband and a brother. I’m also a matchmaker. I connect people to a place where they can feel completely themselves. I match them to a place where all their walls can safely come tumbling down, where life’s worries can shy away from constraint. Where they can feel at home, because that’s essentially what I do. I find homes for people, but I’m not defined by my job title. I do more than just real estate, I make dreams come true.”
I know it may sound cheesy to you, but that’s how I believe every realtor should go about their job. It’s not about finding any old home to suit your client’s needs. You must know your client’s needs like the back of your hand and match each home to their specific preferences. Making my clients happy is what drives me to get up in the morning. It’s what fuels me to succeed in finding the best possible homes for them.
Let’s get down to what is meant by the home space. For some, it can mean light. Open windows, skylights and french doors. For others, the thought of home can bring back visions of a cramped kitchen where a family of five still feels perfectly comfortable preparing dinner together. Laughter oozing through the bedroom doors and down the swirling stair cases–step by step. Some might think of it as who you’re with. A loved one, a favorite pet. A parent.
Although different images and various definitions will be conjured up depending on who you ask, at the end of the day a home is not a place, it’s a feeling. I strive to ignite that feeling of home with every client I work with. Yes, I promise to find you the most grandiose kitchen if that is what your heart desires. Or the three-door garage, beautifully-sculpted garden and ocean-front view. Whatever specifics you wish for, I promise to find them for you. But at the end of the day my job as a real estate matchmaker is more than the specifications. It’s about the feeling of finding your home. And it so happens that I have a great knack for matching homes with people, and people with homes. So what do you say? Let’s embark on this almighty adventure to finding your oasis together. I promise you it’s worth it!
